Rationale

Honker reserves are currently attested on a semiannual basis under Canadian practice. Aligning them with Quacker’s quarterly cadence before closing avoids a reporting gap for combined-entity holders.

Proposed action

Engage KPMQ LLP as transitional auditor for the staging wetlands. Geese will be counted at the wetland of record on the attestation date. Geese in transit between wetlands on that date will be reported separately as reserves in flight.

Risk factors

Migration timing is set by the birds, not the audit calendar. A reserve that departs before the count date and arrives after it may be omitted from two consecutive attestations.
